News: Something New and Exciting is happening!

And since you're already a part of the community, we're giving you all a sneak peek!!!

As all of you know, this forum isn't nearly as active as it could be. So it's time to try something completely new, different, and hopefully more promising. It's a new social network for Spirit-filled Christians! Not only will Mark Virkler be active there, but the CWG facilitators are going to get involved, too.

We're going to introduce it to "the world" in the next month or two, but for now we're introducing it to you. It will give you all a chance to get settled in and active, so when others join, they'll be ready to jump in and get involved, as well.

Excited yet?? We are!

So come check it out here: Koinonia Network and sign up!
We'll be working on setting up "how-to" guides for things, but there's already some of that there, so please feel free to sign up!

In the meantime, this forum will become a "read-only" place for information from the new site, so it won't be completely gone, just not what we'll use anymore.

Just wanted to share a bit of communication with our Heavenly Father.
I was reading Is 45:15 about our God being one that hides Himself.
Months ago He told me to come closer & I had been asking Him how.
In desperation to find a way to come nearer,  I cried out asking
where He was hiding. He knows my shy nature & timidity in sharing the
treasures He reveals to me.  I could almost hear Him laugh  when His
reply came, " If I tell you,  you must tell others." Cautiously, I
promised to do so.
The next morning, He told me that He was hiding in our hearts.
So I say,  now is a time to rend our hearts & not our garments;
a time to search & circumcise them, to remove all leaven, all
not- Christ  from them that He might fill them with Himself. Even the
good things He has given us to enjoy must take a distant second to His
kingdom.
I have heard it said that the worst enemy of the best is the good.
He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in us
HE is the author & finisher of our faith.

I was asked to speak a few words.
I bowed my head & said.
"Lord what few words should I speak.
My words have no value, no power
But Your Words are forever settled in heaven
They are woven in the foundation & the fabric of the Universe
They never return void."

He said " My voice was not found in the wind or the earthquake or the fire
but in a gentle whisper.
Listen for my voice in the stillness of your heart
Rend your heart ; not your garments.
You'll find me when you seek me with a whole heart.
I AM God who hides Himself
 &
I am hiding in your heart."

"God is so big He covers the whole world with his Love
and so small He can curl up inside your heart."

This really is an amazing revelation of Col. 1:27, where Paul speaks of this powerful mystery, that Christ is in our hearts as our Hope of glory.  He is so close to us in so many dimensions that we don't fully understand how many ways He touches us.  Your words speak to me of a tremendously intimate dimension of closeness, a quiet place of great peace and revelation of His Love for you, for all of us.  Where is He hiding?  Sometimes He's hiding in the very quietness of the moments when we feel most alone or secluded, waiting there to love us all the more!  Thank you for the great encouragement!

Truly,

This also reminds me how we should protect our hunger, and to guard our hearts, because it is the wellsprings of our life.

If we are to seek and be hungry for God, then we must protect our hearts from anything and everything that will distract us from Him. In short, to protect our hunger and not fill that hunger with anything, so that it is reserved exclusively for God. Then, when we seek God with all our hearts, we will find Him.

Thank you for sharing! I shall try to seek God with all my heart, that I may find Him:)

As I read this idea, I wonder what in our hearts He hides behind so that we do not see Him at a given opportunity.  Is it a natural wall or chamber of our heart that God has constructed as part of the makeup of our heart, or is it something we have allowed into our heart that maybe clouds our view of Him?

Just wondering...
