News: Something New and Exciting is happening!

And since you're already a part of the community, we're giving you all a sneak peek!!!

As all of you know, this forum isn't nearly as active as it could be. So it's time to try something completely new, different, and hopefully more promising. It's a new social network for Spirit-filled Christians! Not only will Mark Virkler be active there, but the CWG facilitators are going to get involved, too.

We're going to introduce it to "the world" in the next month or two, but for now we're introducing it to you. It will give you all a chance to get settled in and active, so when others join, they'll be ready to jump in and get involved, as well.

Excited yet?? We are!

So come check it out here: Koinonia Network and sign up!
We'll be working on setting up "how-to" guides for things, but there's already some of that there, so please feel free to sign up!

In the meantime, this forum will become a "read-only" place for information from the new site, so it won't be completely gone, just not what we'll use anymore.

I am always on the lookout for new techniques and as the church is very lacking in these things I often have to prayerfully delve into practises which some christians would avoid due to their association with the new age (even though there may not be anything intrinsically wrong with them.)

One such technique is lucid dreaming which simply means that you can teach yourself to remain more conscious as you dream and actually control your dreams.
Now given that  journalling involves a conscious decision to visualise Jesus, there is no reason why this cant be done during sleep also.

I think that this would be an invaluable tool for people who have trouble journalling due to lack of time, lack of a peaceful atmosphere or are so tired that they fall asleep. It is a bit different to divinely inspired dreams as it would be basically like journalling but you would be asleep i.e. you would be able to imagine Jesus in a scene and talk to Him.

For anyone who is interested there is a CD sold by the monroe institute (do a google search for 'hemi sync' then seach in that website for 'sweet dreams.' There is also a longer, more expensive course) which teaches this.  I know it is not a christian site and there are some products on it which are new age so it needs some discretion.

I dont know what the CD is like yet but my way is to pray about something like this and hand it over to God. It would be great to see a christian version of it but for now it requires a bit of trailblazing into places like this and taking back what satan has stolen. He has robbed us and God -not only has he stolen techniques that should belong to us-he has made most of us too scared to use them!
